Google has been hearing from advertisers on issues of ads showing up on unsavory websites.
Algorithms or no, marketers are demanding a stop to or protection from websites whose content is not aligned with their values to preclude these sites from displaying their client’s ads.
Google has “been conducting an extensive review of our advertising policies and tools” and have begun ramping up changes around their: Ad Policies, Enforcement, and New Controls for Advertisers.
We’re glad they’re stepping up to stricter policies. Our clients’ brands are important to us, and the more control we have as advertisers, the better the results for all parties involved.
