A toque is the ultimate in high Canadian Fashion. A hat that is worn year-round whether it is cold or warm outside. Americans call it a beanie. Originally they were knit, but now are made from many different materials. There are many different designs – some only cover the top of the ears, some have large flaps that fold down to cover your ears, and some even floppily sit back on your head. Toque is a French word and is pronounced TOO-k.
